Hi Y'all! I am Shelby, a Photographer, Graphic Designer, and native to Chattanooga, Tennessee. My Husband Odie and I live full time in our 26ft long pull behind camper. Having fallen in love with our dwelling we started dreaming of a life on the road, we skimmed, saved and worked hard for 2 years to plan the trip of a lifetime. We planned a trip which was to start in April 2020, but it was painfully yet necessarily derailed by the onslaught of COVID-19.
Happily now, we are currently nearing the end of a 45 day travel streak across the US! Now our journey is coming to an end and its time to get back to the grind. You can find my examples of my work and photography below, a full resume on Linkedin, beautiful photos from our trip on Instagram and video from our journeys on Youtube.
Solving Problems using graphic design is one my passions. I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
My strength and first love is logo design and development. I have designed several successful logotypes in both the professional and academic world.
I have a limited knowledge of HTML and web design. I am willing to expand my knowledge in this area as it is a growing need in the world of business and advertising.
I have a general knowlegde of social media campaigning and advertising. Posting material, developing a trends and hashtags, sending email blasts via Constant Contact, and advertising on Google, Facebook, Instagram, ect.
Working at Lifetouch National School Studios has taught me an invaluable amount of skill at photography. I am an experienced event, portrait and landscape photographer. I am proficient at group and individual photography both in a professional and casual setting.
I love the challenge of creating or revamping a brand. From retail to the service industry, I excel at identifying what can make a brand great, or what can breathe new life into an already established ideal.
I worked for Lifetouch at Prestige Portraits of Chattanooga until the beginning of COVID-19. I worked as a photographer to the surrounding area schools as an underclass photographer, as well as working in the studio perfecting my skills shooting Senior Portraits. I had the pleasure to photograph Special Events, Ceremonies, Sporting Events, Candids and Group Shots all while being taught by Old Masters from the prestigious Olan Mills Days.
I work for myself through various websites and social media outlets. My most current project being Mad Millennials, a Youtube channel that will inform viewers about full time Camper Living and our Migration Vacation through the US.
During my time at Georgia Southern, I worked as the property manager to The Garden District Apartments. This position taught me leadership, professionalism, and most importantly, how to keep 300 20'somethings from destroying themselves or property!
I attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a Bachelors in Graphic Design with a concentration in Ceramics.
